Jenn, Julia, Alfred and crew have done another good thing.

Thanks for the service, support, patience and cocktail.

Car: Evo IX
Engine: JAM STG III longblock 2.3L
Turbo: full-race 35r ts
Numbers: 390/350 ballpark
Fuel: 91
boost: 21 pk

I know some will say the numbers should be higher but I'm not a number whore so I don care too much. Around 3500 rpm I started maximg out the afm so this presented a bit of a challenge. It drives great, spools great and so far feels pretty good. Not to mention the pipe work is mint. Great job guys (and of course gals)

Thanks in advance for the research on the intake and 3 port. Looking forward to finalizing this tune to see what she's capable of.

The best thing about the car has to be the tiny filter feeding the BIG turbo...

Nice to meet you in person Rich!

That set-up is Tits...

I can't wait to see the result when TT gets it all dialed in...

But, Enough about the Evo- I need to take a ride in that GT-R!!!

Congrats on your build.Â* You should put your timing belt cover on though.Â* I rode around without mine and during cornering, the power steering line pushed into it and was ruined.Â* I almost crashed when the power steering failed in a middle of a turn.Â* Â*

Keep in mind, if you get anything caught in the belt while the motors running, it couldÂ* cause the belt to skip or break and that would damage your motor. That could include your arm or something if your shirt got sucked in while you bend over the motor if its running.Â* Â*Think bent valves, cracked pistons etc.Â*

They have clear covers if you want to see it but I would strongly suggest notÂ* driving without some cover.Â*

Good luck and keep us posted on the build...

Kit looks even better on the car then it does off.

You should try to see if a HKS filter will fit on there, thats what I run on my GT35r which is making over 600whp.

mosth8d

wont fit. the COBB barely fits. LOL.
what kinda gas mileage are you getting on your set up?

Audi-Mike
04-01-2009, 01:20 PM
Not sure if you were asking me. But back when I was driving my car on the street I was still able to get up to 30mpg on the fwy.

So the HKS will hit something off to the sides? Its wider but not nearly as long.

crazy manifold

With life time warranty too.

It can also be coated in silver which pretty much makes the manifold look polished.

Here is a picture of the silver coating on an A4 1.8t manifold.

Jam stroke Long block is pretty TiTs and also pricey...I like dat! With that kinda build about over the $5k+ range? I'm thinking bout going 2.3 but leaning strongly on a "recommended" 2.2
That is a great build....fuk the #'s wanna feel the torque on dat bitch!
