Im up for the Freakin Space ship exhaust. haha I know, Stealthy is the way to go due to the Cops in oc giving so much hastle over modifications.

just unbolt the the whole stock exhaust system and run it open.
You shave off a lot of weight, get lots of power, and the cops cant
get you for modified exhaust because there is nothing there!

Really, just go to some local meets and check out other peoples set up.
Find out what you like and get it.

I don't know about power wise, but when I saw this PB X with this quad exhaust (think BMW M3 exhaust), I nearly crashed! That freaking exhaust looked so sweet. Idk why, but I've always loved that quad exhaust look.

If someone has a picture... Please! For the love of God post it... :D

the mxp one is pretty sexual. I say go for dual because its more stealthy than a big single can sticking out. I have the greddy ti-c, its a single tip can style and i got pulled over the second day i put it on =(.

The best stealth excellent flowing is the one that is in the link I posted of the blue X. Its my car in the pic and I have had no issues with police or excessive noise. If you want to hear it or go for a spin and let me know and Ill make it happen.

just get one with good flow and doesn't stand out too much.. guess evo X doesn't shout out to cops as much as IX, but still it won't hurt to have something less shiny..
but seriously.. pipe is a pipe.. whatever suits your taste.. and budget..

I've got the Ultimate Racing TBE: 3" Long Down Pipe, 3" Test Pipe, 3" CBE with duel tips. Sounds mean but it does resonate throught the cabin when decelerating. Other than that, every tells me it sounds great. Further more, I've maximized the effeciency of the stock turbo.

I also have the Ti-C and love the low noise level.Â* I've been tailed by 3 cops within the last month that I've had it and no ticket ***knock on wood***.Â* Check these photos out (or go straight to the gallery: http://www.socalevo.net/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=1422) that were shot for GReddy.

Like what Tim said, the RRE stealths are nice for stealth. My car is the OB X with Sideways Stealth pictured in the RRE link also. Its pretty stealth and for the most part, other than West Covina cops for me, its been stealthy from not catching attention from the popos.

i would suggest T1R. It's extremely quiet but when you get on it, it's a bit louder than stock. If you're cruising most of the time, then it's barely noticeable.

+1 this exhaust is nice! with thin tips that do not stick out as much, also one of the quietest!

It's pretty simple dude, buy whatever you like the sound of that you can comfortably afford?!Â* Are you buying for looks? Purely power gains? sound? Stealthy? Are you brand loyal? I mean dude, seriously?!? Â* "I am looking at exhaust for my X. I have been looking at single or double. "Â*?!?!? That covers just about every possible name brand and exhaust style currently available.Â* I haven't seen a triple tip exhaust, although there are a few quad tips.Â* Dude go to meets, look at video clips, visit a few local tuner shops and see what they currently have on hand and what they've seen from tuning. Our you could save your money and keep the stock X exhaust and get an down pipe with an electronic cutout that would be a straight exhaust dump from the O2 housing at the press of a button. Other then spoon feeding what more do you want? There's an extensive thread on EvoM with most every exhaust currently available for the X.Â* Did you bother to do ANY research before starting a thread about which exhaust you should buy?Â* I mean you didn't even have it narrowed down to a couple choices that members could vote on?!?!Â*Â* :?

louder the better!!! yes!!!

Custom straight pipe (single to the left side)

I have a straight pipe on my 9 and people keep asking me what cams I have haha!! Â*I am currently camless!!!

Seriously though, get a good downpipe, test pipe then a custom straight pipe all the way back. You will be loud and it will sounds beautiful!!!

"The RRE" is what ever you want it to be. We built a straight pipe for a guy a couple weeks ago. Trust me, it was as loud as possible. We could hear him pulling away from the light at Bloomfield and Florence! It would be perfect for you.

Or bring your own muffler with what ever blue flame 5" tip on it and we can put it on a straight pipe if you just want LOUD instead of OMG LOUD like a plain straight pipe would be.

Mike, i know perception of exhuast loudness is highly subjective, but in your opinion how does the RRE dual or single compare to the t1r in terms of loudness?

Mike W
08-30-2009, 10:28 AM
The T1R is not what I would call quiet, but it has some different resonate frequencies. Had a... say more mature guy that had problems with certain frequencies at cruise and he has an MR. So the tranny is always sticking its self in 6th gear. He had our sideways Magnaflow which our only complaint is that it was too quiet. But it bugged him at cruise. He rode in his buddys car with a T1R and he liked it. We put it on and db wise it is louder. But it has a different tone at cruise that does not bug him. The sideways RRE off his car is now on Mueller's street X making 355 hp and passes Laguna Seca's sound limits. Go figure.

There is so much you cant tell with a sound clip. At least on those I put up they are all recorded the exact same way with the same device and all on one clip. I'll try to get more like that for comparison.

i bought the brand new Tusdo catback + test pipe for $380, tax included (found in craigslist). and added U/R o2 down pipe, the exhaust flows pretty good, and not too loud. I just had dyno tune at HB Speed on Sep. 2nd, and the result i got was 345 hp 327 ft/lb, with aem intake, and all the parts above that i list. the only bad thing Tusdo was the fitment, but no leak. other than that, perfect.
