MMC strongly advises against tracking the MR with it's fog lamps in place.Â*
The driver's side lamp obstructs the transmission cooler which is a key component in keeping the transmission light from popping on and sending your car into the pits (or back to the dealership for a 8 grand bill).Â* In Japan, the fog lamps are an option, but if you don't get them....well, you wind up with much better cooling and a clean factory vent (which I managed to come up on recently).Â* You don't need the vent for this mod, but it makes the finished product a heck of a lot cleaner.
There's some great articles on evoM about pulling the front bumper, so I won't repeat the "how to."Â* It is a lot easier to do the install with the bumper off, but if you don't mind cutting up your hands, you can probably do it with just removing the under trays.
