Looks sick as hell.

Just saw it on the More-Japan blog.

Done by Predator Performance in Puerto Rico. 18 x 10.5 + 15 front and rear. I think it would look a wee bit better with more drop and alignment, but i love the size.

personally, i think these SSR Type-Fs were the biggest anticipated and ultimately - BIGGEST LET DOWN wheel out there. It doesnt matter how aggressive you go with the specs, they just look tame and very close to stock. I still remember the teaser ad with the PB X with flat black. it looked SEX!!! then the release came, and they came in girlie sizes 18x8.5, etc... and then like a strange wormhole, all existence of "buzz" sorrounding this wheel disappeared.

Now, I barely see ANYONE rocking this amongst the wide sea of TE37, Rota Grid-wearing X's out there in the forums...

Its too bad, it had such promise... Look at that Carrito.net picture and tell me those wheels look like 18x10.5 15 offset or not... I wouldnt have guessed if i didnt see the width of the rubber under there...

just my 2cents...

I understand that the Type F doesn't have the new "concave" trend as much as some of the other wheels. But, is it any less of an inferior wheel?

They seems to come in pretty good sizes (at least for a 2 > 1 piece hybrid).

Is the looks the ONLY letdown?

Ant is right, even with an aggressive offset, the Type F still looks tame. We are talking +15 and there is no concavity!
And the wheels stick out too much from the fender, i.e. not flush.

I read the specs in the title, and thought I was going to be amazed... but they are sort of a let down :buck2:

Post the pix up on the evom Aggressive wheel thread, and don't list the specs... You'll prob get a bunch of "GTFO's" and "My ROTA GRIDS are more concave yo" replies...

These are great wheels regardless or looks....

i have the same offset and width on te37 :)
I am slammed so it is rubbing like crazy with 275/35/18 tires all around

The problem with these wheels is that the design doesn't allow for a nice concave look when going with an aggressive offset. The only thing that changes is the depth where the wheel actually mounts (lug holes) get deeper but that doesn't translate to the rest of the face of the wheel.

I have to agree with Ant, these wheels once in production form were a bit of a let down.

not my cup of tea!!!
specially when you read the actual size of the wheel and off set... IMO not worth it!!!

The fenders need to be rolled/pulled... and maybe with some better suspension the wheels will look a bit better on the cars... minus the orange/gold combo....maybe if the cars "switched" wheels....blk and orange... gold and blue ?

That's the entire point!!!! Otherwise u wouldn't even bother to run such aggressive off set.

N to the pic recently posted, I'll take those wheels any given day over the op.
No concave look, no need for aggressive off set. Kinda pointless IMO.

18" Type F wheel specs here http://www.ssr-wheels.com/wheels/wheelchart.asp?id=1&size_id=4&keepThis=true&TB_iframe=true&height=500&width=700

i think that this is a relly nice wheel. light and strong and great clearance for brakes. Why be like everyone else out there with Volks or rotas. The only other brands I would consider besides SSR would be Advan or Weds

Concave is like the new thing nowadays ... I still like lip action =]

the type Cs are nice. I know lots of auto crossers and trackers run them... and they love it.

yup, they'reÂ* a little lighter than the Type F too, but the sizes are limited in the Type C
