Got 255/40 18's on BBS wheels for the Evo X MR. Falken RT 615. I use them only on track days at Big willow springs. they are just the same or a little worse then stock tires but last longer. they are 200 tread wear number. I need R compound tires. I got 255's to try to get more grip but it improved only a little. I use 245 40 18's Nitto Neo Gens for street use on Advan RZ 18 x 9 25 offset. They seem lighter when changing wheels before track day. R compounds won't last more then three track days and cost more! Waste of money!

265's fit on the BBS MR wheels! Good someone is selling them here in the forum and I'll get them. No rubbing? 8.5" stock rims work!? You have the same avatar as TonTon. Do you know him? From Long Beach regional meets.

Yeah 265/35 works on the OEM wheels. No rubbing at all with no fender mod...doesnt hit anything on the front when turning either.Â* Sorry i dunno him, just a newbie on the evo world.

Would 265/40/18 in size fit without any rubbing issues?

yes it will fit, rubbing depends on your drop and camber.

Running 265mm width tires on 8.5" rims = major sidewall bulge. I'm not a tire scientist, but it seems like you would probably lose some responsiveness by doing this.

OP, are you trying to get more grip?

When I turn my 245's to full lock, I only have about 1/4" clearance to the front inner louvered fender panel.Â* Since 265/40's would have to be taller and wider, I can't imagine why they wouldn't hit.Â* Those who say they clear...I wonder if they're really talking about 265/35's?

The bulge doesn't look too clean in my opinion.Â*
What kind of look are you trying to get?
Maybe run spacers to push the wheels out for a flusher look?Â*

it looks ok..not perfect IMO, just wanted to get a meaner look from the rear. Anyhow, nothing compares to a wide wheels with correct offset looks. I might pick up another set of wheels, the NT03 with the 265

I'm running 275x35x18 x 10.5 rim.. I'm noticing some rubbin on the front fender skirt, none in the back. I am sitting stock height...
