Remember watching that live back in the day and I still think the same thing today. Zanardi is a cheating bastard. Nothing like going off the course to make the pass. In the end though he still was the winner so what I say matters not.

i did the same on GT4 too....

and i believe Valentino Rossi did the same last year to beat Stoner in MotoGP

although it seems to be he "cheated"
but he made the pass before he enter the turn and led the other car. so when he exit on the dirts, he "didn't" gain any advantage by cutting the exiting corner...LOL

so he "didn't" cheat...in a sense of the rules............

well, he made that pass at that speed knowing he would have to cut that corner in order for him to pass him in the first place. When the other guy goes on brakes and you just lay on the throttle, of course he is gonna make the pass. He didnt even try to make the corner, his intention was to totally cut it due to the speed of the pass. Should have been penalized.

just imagine at a track day, there is a left and right corner coming up, guy in front brakes. And you steam roll by making a pass, but you cut that right turn onto the field and back on track. Cheating no?
