i have a 2006 e46 m3 at the moment and my lease is gonna be up shortly. i have the option to keep the m3 or i was thinking of picking up a new 08 X. i used to have an 03 gsr as well as an 05 sti. i love my m3 but i miss the evo and i cant decide what to do and i have to make a decision. let me know what you guys think. i havent driven an x yet and ive been away from the evo scene for a few years now.

everyone will tell you to get a ix

but if you like the m3 and want something in the middle of that and your 03gsr... then the x is for you.

i had an 03 gsr and an 07 s4... and the 08 x is pretty much directly in the middle of them.

it takes well to mods, so i think youll be happy with it.

Get an Evo X, you will love it more than your VIII, it is better handling and responds better to performance mods.

well i almost have 1k miles and i do have pictures on my camera that ive been meaning to post. im going to be switching my oil over to amsoil sso 0-w30 this week. i had a buddy do a detailed wash of the car including buff and wax. i am in the process of building a new laptop and i plan on getting the tactrix openport 2.0 + evoscan + ecuflash for my tuning. i think for my first mod though im going to pick up either a invidia catback, greddy catback or rre custom. after that its definitly going to be downpipe + hfc + wideband and then a tune.

Funny how a new V8 M3 and a modded stock turbo EVO X both have about the same peak hp. Then the BMW guy having a V8 would be all about bragging of his V8 flat torque curve and V8 bottom end power vs a laggy turbo car. Just tell the BMTroubleyou guys booya!

i suggest that you test drive first an evo X from one of your friends' or at the dealership. from there, you'd have a better idea if it's worth trading your bmw M3 for the evo X.

Yea like a sequential, smaller turbo for down low and bigger turbo for top end.
