I went to Garage GT today telling them I wanna change my drivetrain fluid, MT-90 in the tranny.. And Redline 75w90 in the t case and rear diff.. They told me not to do that because the redline will fry my T case, and I should useÂ* :mitsu: Diaqueen. I already have 2 quarts of 75w90, and 3 quarts of MT-90 and I can't return it so should I just run the rear diff and tranny with redline and buy soem diaqueen for the t case to be safe?

Thanks,

-RYAN.

You are going to get different answers. A number of people have used the Redline fluids without issue, but there are some that have had problems with Redline.

I just avoid the possibility of the fluid not working and recommend the OEM Diaqueen fluid in the transfer case and rear diff.

Redline 75w 90 is best for the rear diff but not for the Center Diff. The Center diff its best to use Redline Heavy Weight Shockproof or Diaqueen.

I've been using redline shockproof heavy in Mitsu tcases for over 14 years now, with no issues.

Current Evo has seen redline shockproof heavy in the t-case for over 60k miles. Daily, track, tahoe snow, etc. No issues. Been through two transmissions but still have the OEM t-case. ;)

Just had my drivetrain fluids changed, Diaqueen in the rear diff and t case, and Mt90 in the tranny.

Sounds good to me. Those are both great fluids and work well for daily use.

Here is a good writeup on how to fill the transfer case and what fluids. Not for rookies or people on the Earn As You Learn plan.

Red line shock proof is good for track use. i use it for the T case and tranny but NOT rear diff.

Ya it's very nice, smoother downshifts and high rpm shifting transactions as well.
