A long flat head screw driver, and or a small pry bar.

I've sprayed a lot of brake cleaner in there before to break loose all the old clutch dust. That should help. On my last clutch job on my evo, I couldn't remove mine so I got a 1/4 ratchet with a flex joint and a short 12mm socket and removed all 6 pressure plate bolts and I was able to remove the trany with the plate still locked on the trany. After that you can remove the round clip that locks it on the throw out bearing with a small screw driver

no it doesnt help at all cuz the dust will not make the ring get stuck!

That's weird that its never worked for you. Its allways worked for me. I've sprayed it up there and worked the forks back in forth and it helps

Stick a decent size flat head in there. Place the Flat head in between the clutch bearing and in between the collar. Then grab the clutch fork on the side of the tranny and pull it over to the drivers side. Making the bearing push into the preasure plate. Then turn the flat head 90ยบ at the same time as you push the clutch fork over to the passenger's side. It should just snap out. No need for any chemicals or anything else really.

hey i need some help here. i have a 03 evo. my tranny had some issue after i did a launch. gears was hard to get in. i opened up the tranny and there's a busted clip. i dont know rather its from the throw bearing or pressure plate. it looks like a round clips that holds something into place. where can i find this part?
