Currently I have a K&N drop in filter, I got this AEM intake and still debating if I should intall them or keep the drop in.
For those with X (GSR) with this intake, any inputs that you can share? I believe this doesnt throw a CEL. Powergains, can you hear the BOV more?

thanks in advance

AEM intake is an awesome CARB legal intake.. I made over 320 on AEM intake and catback and I always get my tunes "safe" cause of the way I drive. Where are you located...

it's still the box, so I don't think it makes the BOV any louder. I've heard NOTHING but good things about it... & no SES light either...

:D :D :D DO IT!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

Your BOV is much more pronounced with the AEM but just enough for you to hear versus absolutely silent before

i hate that damn circle gasket that goes around the airbox. mine keeps popping off, is it mandatory for that to be there or not? only thing i could think it is supposed to do is keep the maf pipe from hitting the airbox?

bro, i think is ok without it but better with to keep the hot air coming in the box. I guess its fine just check and make sure theres no rattles.

Yeah I used an adhesive to hold it in place. Went without a gasket for a while, but I feel better now that I have it one there. Now if those damn plate screws... that is a different story. I was missing one to start with and I am down to two. And yeah I put em on tight. ARGH

ya it does that exactly, it'll keep the heat from intruding, and if you've intalled one before, the pipe almost, if not does, touch the top of the box, I tried to make sure that the pipe keeps it sustainted so since the pipe almost hits the top, i started mine from the bottom up

GOOD LUCK THOUGH! ;)

Just a quick review on this intake.

Mike aka evox310 installed this for me almost 2 weeks ago (Thanks again Bro!). Coming from a K&N drop in filter, I noticed that the car is smoother and more responsive with no more idle whack.Â* Gas consumption was a little better (I d0 24.5-25 mph) freeway driving. I can say I was just lucky to have this for free, winning it from MOD.

This product is recommended. O0

Too beautiful of an intake to let it sit outside your engine bay!
