Pretty long but he puts a lot of thought and care into what he's doing. $400 for military can't be beat if you ask me. He rolled me outta there with 350hp/350tq, wish I had bought bigger injectors prior to doing it but oh well. what are your mod's? I dont know of too many evo's with a lot of mods in Fresno besides me the only one I know of is running a ETS GT35R but it has that cheap manifold they used to make and is only running 91, no meth or nothing it's putting down 386 on a dyna-pack or 335 on a MD.

I'm on evolutionm under the same user name. I'm in Fresno going to Fresno State during the weekdays and I go back to Lemoore during the weekends. Haven't seen a yellow Evo here, but there's at least 2 red Evo 8's on the FSU campus.

I've seen under ten, and I've seen only one with its owner. It was a PB X with blacked out GSR wheels and I think its running catless. He revved on me once when I was leaving the parking lot lol

I see, I think the op kaj has sold his white evo, theres a blue evo 8 that works at the taco bell on shields/first, and a blue evo 9 thats often at the farmers market near tower district, then the white evo with a 35r use to be owned by robert at clovis custom audio but I think he sold it back to his buddy. and and a red evo on shields (always see it when I drive home from cedar lanes) there are more that I have spotted, but I've seen these ones at the same place on multiple occasions

Im in Hanford a lot and about 4-5 are in that area, same amount in Lemoore, Selma has around 2, Clovis and Fresno who knows, I've seen about 10 different ones but I know there are more, then you have the Evo X's but those don't count :-P probably between all these area's listed including Visalia and Madera I would guess no more than 30-40 tops.

Kurata's on Divisadero did my alignment and mounted/balanced my tires right before my first meet. I asked for -1.5* of camber in the front and -1.0* in the rear along with zero toe all around and they were able to get it really close, just off by .1* in the rear. Custom spec alignment from them does cost a bit over $100 though.

1000cc is a bit small don't you think? do they have any e85 around lemoore? if anything go with 1450+ so if you ever do e85 you should be covered more or less.

^There's no E85 anywhere near Kings County, let alone Lemoore. There used to be a station in Tulare that carried it, but I believe it closed down or stopped offering it.

In Atlanta where I used to live we had meeting at Varsity every first thursday of the month. And besides of that there was import cars meeting every friday at Starbucks.
Then I moved here last year and there is plenty of EVO's and beautiful mountain roads but nobody takes advantage of it.
So I am calling all EVO owners in area to have some meetings schedule. I am at the race track this weekend but we can figure out something for next weekend.
And we should meet have breakfast and then go for drive in the mountains. That's the way to go I think.
If there is no better ideas we can meet at my shop located at E Main St in Visalia , there is outstanding breakfast place just by the corner so plenty of safe parking space. Good breakfast and then some driving. Mountains are close if we decide to drive there.
Come on people take advantage of living in the mountains. In other states people drive 3h to do that, you have it 20min away and nobody enjoys it.

I know, not many people are interested in meetings. Give it some time. There is you and 2 other people on my Facebook that are interested in meeting.
I guess trying to schedule meeting during Memorial Day weekend is not the best idea, I was born in Europe so I am not very familiar with schedule of US holidays.
Next week I am at the track (Willow Springs) friday and saturday.
So I guess maybe after that, I am actually open for meeting during a week if anybody wants to do so.
We don't have to have 10 people at first meet, we can meet somewhere 2-3 cars and then more people will join.

Nobody meets up any more, really. If you do, local pd likes to come break things up. There is a local site that does monthly meets with permission of business owners such as Chubby's, Me N Ed's, etc.

Fresno is transitioning from Civics to the next affordable car: wrx. Very popular right now. Definitely better than a civic. If our cars drop below the $10k mark, we would start seeing more of them too.

Which car was yours? my girl and I were there spectating and probably saw you. We left during the lunch break.

my girl finally got to drive one and loved it. it's the first NEW car that's come out that i've actually wanted to buy since... well.. i dunno. 2003, i think (Evo, Cobra). i have yet to drive one. :(

your friend did awesome. we watched her take a few recon missions then attack the course. hopefully she inspired my girl to drive my car. she's afraid of breaking it. LOL.

anyway, i think the next Fresno event isn't until November. you all coming out to that one too? i'm shooting for the next NCRC Buttonwillow event, right now.

Yeah, she was really nervous as it was her first event, she got lots of advice from everyone though and got better with each run.


As for the next event, the club was actually able to put together an event on 8/26 at the Fairgrounds. The day before will be a drift event as well.

leaving it stock this time around. i'm sending out a spare rear diff to Shep and probably reflashing the ACD ECU. we'll see if i need a rear sway bar after that. car will be lowered, not sure if i'll be doing coil overs. i'll do an exhaust just for the sound and because i need a place to put my wideband. i'll tune it then done. no intake, cams, larger turbo, etc, etc. i'm going a different route with this one. with my last one, i spent more time working on it than driving. LOL

Nice, keeping it simple seems to be the best way in terms of reliability for these cars. Let me know how Shepard's rear diff works for you, I was thinking about just doing the stock restack or maybe the Weir 12-plate, but that's probably a while from now.
