Hello everyone,

I recently started noticing something weird with my rpm's. For example when I hit the gas hard my rpm will jump from 4k rpm to 5k instantly then and quickly right back to 4k rpm and then the rmp's will gradually build up. It has been doing it the last couple of days everytime I gas it hard. I dont know if thats normal, i hadnt noticed it before i dont know if there is something wrong. Does anyone know what could be the problem? Has anyone experienced this before?

It's not how many miles that matters, but the how those miles were driven.

I know how to drive stick, Ive just been a little lauch and drift happy. I didnt think it would kill my clutch that quick. Well i guess its time to look for a new clutch, any suggestions? As you can see I drive kind of hard, I dont care about having a stiffer clutch if I need to spend a lot of money on a new clutch might as well get one that can take a good beating and last.

I agree with the previous post as stated, its not how many miles but how the car was driven. My friend bought his Evo 8 New in 03 and wore his clutch out in 700 miles! He messed it up so badly that the clutch disc was welded onto the fly wheel!! Luckily for him the dealer actually replaced it under warranty!! But what your describing does indeed sound like a slipping clutch. If the car is bone stock, and you have not been driving it hard them go to the dealer you have nothing to lose. But if you are driving like a bat out of hell, and its modded, good luck. I just had my ACT clutch installed at Reese Tuning, runs around $1300, may want to give James a Call.

I'm still on the OEM clutch and got 60K miles on the car. I never launched it once. All depends on how you drive...
