i was wondering if anyone has installed a transmission temp gauge... i was thinking on the inlet hose going to the cooler but is there a better place or has anyone put it somewhere else....

You could place a temp sensor in the bottom of the transmission. Their are three drain holes there, they use a 16mm fitting. You could take that 16mm fitting and reduce it down to what ever size thread went with your temp sensor (usuall 1/8 pipe thread). You could also get creative and make it into a 90 degree fitting. We have done this several times just to take quick transmission temps.
