Checked out the new Outlander GT at Mitsubishi and it's really nice. It has the new full color LCD like the Evo Touring. The Outlander is now the only model which has FM Traffic with the Navigation, all other Mitsu vehicles will get it in 2011. The front grill has the full Evo/Lancer styling.

That's actually not as much of a streatch as you may think.... Appearently, the block in them is a NA 2.4 version of the 4b11, so it's kinda like the old days with the 4g63 and 4g64... And the tranny is even a variant of the SST tranny that's in the ralli-arts and MR's...

And yeah... I'm planning on getting one of these little guys for the wife when I get back from deployment.

What's the best price in these new Outlander SUV's?
Will Sam smash us a good price!?

I actually got mine on a lease because I got a better interest rate than by strait-out buying it and took the money I was going to put down and put it in a savings account so that at the end of the lease, I can buy it.

Including the military, socalevo, smash discount, TWO months of scm making my payments, and the money I saved by going with the lease, I think I saved somewhere around 4-5K total. About 3 of that was from going with the lease because you don't have to pay as much tax and the apr is 0%. Vs the paying full tax on it and the 2.9 that I would have gotten by strait-out buying it AND my payments would have been about 150 more each month.

I think the total I will end up paying for the little guy is aaround 28K. Sticker price on it was like 31 (it's a fully-loaded gt) and most places I have been to had the stickers around 33K.

Also SCM had the biggest selection of the GT's when everybody else I could find only had 1, or none at all. He had 2 on the lot that were EXACTLY what me and the wife were looking for. We told him black or gg, and bam, 2 on the lot right next to each other exactly what we want!

Truely awesome experience!

Mine looks like the pictuer that Native posted... except I don't have the roof rack... I'm not sure the GT's come with them as I haven't seen a gt with a roof rack.

Sam "Smashed" us out of one of our Evo's tonight into a Black GT.... It's fully loaded... Loved the heated leather seats on the way home!!! :)Â* Sam gave us a great price (of course) ..... + a crazy amount ofÂ* rebates.... and 1% interest.... We drove away happy with a lower payment and a great cute little SUV for our soon to be born son :)

FYI the dash on this thing is way nicer then the Evo X :buck2:

What year did you get?

I was looking at the comparison between the 2010's and 2011's and the biggest difference was like 1mpg better fuel economy and a system that was like the sync system in fords as an option... I haven't seen much info on the 2012's though.

The most fun I have is when you want to launch it, you put it in the "lock" setting, put it in paddle shift mode, do like you are break boosting and haul ass! HAHAHA!

As for the bumper on that black one just above... Anyone know if that's a Mitsu part? I'd LOVE to have that!

It's a 2010....Sam's "Assistant' said nothing was different over the 2011.... Lol @ the launching.... Ummm don't think I'll be trying that in it just yet.

Sam is like some Persian celebrity now..... he has an "Assistant"

There are just those "minor" differences... according to the road and track 2011 model buyer's guide anyway.

Be careful of those seat warmers... once they get to the right temp, switch them to the low setting. They will get uncomfortably hot. Found that out the hard way... Pretty difficult to drive when you are trying to keep your ass from touching the seat until it cools off.

I was just letting you know about the launching... You never know... I mean, I see more riced out hondas in it than my evo, and the outlander will take them out. ;) But, you'll notice that if you are going to turn out into traffic kinda quick that the fronts will spin a little before the AWD kicks in. If you put it in lock, it just takes off. That's mainly what I use the lock function for...

Yeah I can see the "ass burning" happening unintentionally lol

Oh I'm sure we will figure out the "launch stuff" lol ..... And kill the ricers hopes and dreams lol .... Need to brake it in 1st.... Thing only had like 12 miles or something IIRC.

That owners manual is crazy :buck2: it's like an encyclopedia ! Guess I'll be doing some reading the next few days.
