The car got tune in a really conservative tune @ 21 psi on 91 octane.

Don't get things twitsed. Tomei cams are inferior to the Kelford 272. Not long ago you were asking me which cams to buy. Kelford cams make more power than any cam next to the BF272. Infact that cam that is in Javi's car is too small for that setup. Just an FYI.

Looks like they attempted to run a 98 smoothing to correct all the dips Javi? Not sure why they did. I would be curious to see the logs and if they used my knock filtering changes. I had them setup proper. Feel free to bring it by I would like to offer you a few free dyno pulls. Also some larger cams would be useful. You're low end would not be compromised either.

Kelford 272's might be better overall but I bet the 270 procams will edge them out by in the topend, different strokes for different folks. Buscher's cams are no joke although the Procam series are by no means a average cam I would consider them among the top cams such as the Kelford's, Jun's, Cosworth, and FPR's. Buscher has even run Procams in his black drag evo and AMS is also fond of them so they cant be a bad choice.

Holy crap this car scares the hell out of me. I looked at the knock filters, and they're the same as the last time reese tuned it. The car just needs more work dialing in the low rpm ghost knock. But godamn, this car scares the hell out of me. It feels like a gt35 without the lag. Javier is hitting 340load at peak boost, and holding 280 through the powerband. I have to give it up to Mynes performance, his afr and fuel curve is dialed in perfecty.

Damn you Javier, now I want a 3076hta on my car. Â* :D

For the record, we're not here to claim any top tuner prize to claim to be the 'best tuner' in town. We do custom tuning in house here at Dynamic/Gruppe-S; so if you like what you see, then you can call the shop and schedule an appt. Javi is a good friend and a good customer, he asked that we tuned his Evo and we said 'ok, np'... the numbers are just that, numbers. You guys all know that the DA Mustang is known as a 'heart-breaker' so i don't need to say any more...

Honest opinion: the car pulls great on 21 psi. As expected, the torque is up there b/c it's a 2.3... On a little more boost and some race gas, this thing will be a little street demon (but Javi needs to get some new brakes first).

Who are MYNES? You probably never heard of us, but u 'know' us whether you like it or not. Just take a look at your EcuFlash Software and you'll see. I've attached a pic just for quick reference.

Regardless of who tuned the car the power seems a little steep to me. Like I said before I am offering a few free dyno passes to see for myself. All in all I am sure the tune is spot on. Great work Jason.

Here are some dyno numbers for your reference:
1) 2008 Stock Evo X (with Exhaust and Intake) typically puts down 245whp on this MD...

2) 2009 Audi R8 (V8, 4.2L) just put down 340whp today.

3) Here an article about the Dynamic's Mustang Dyno:

4) Javi's Evo 8 (2.3L, HTA3076 + etc) puts down 428whp on 21psi on 91 Pump gas)

I don't know, those are some big numbers for 91oct, 21psi, and a mustang dyno providing that it is a low reading dyno. I'm not here to start a beef with anybody, especially the owner, but I would just feel bad if the owner is being cheated unknowingly. That being said, those numbers are very very good, in fact the best that I have seen anywhere, from that particular setup. Congrats.

To avoid the argument about dynos reading high/low, there should have been a baseline done in order to see the gains from the tune. I do understand that sometimes it is hard to do a baseline, but it does help avoid these debates about dynos reading low/high.

Naji im not wasting my time on prove pep all that.Â* My old set up is nothing compare to my new one!Â* i went from a simple 2.3 with a 9 turbo to port and polish intake, 65mm tb, hta 3076 with a tubular header, built tranny, upgrade ignition, etc.

i really dont give a rat ass what pep think if that dyno read high or not! im been in 300, 400, 500, 600, and 700 whp evos and i know that my car is at least in the 500, 600 range!

Just for my own shit and giggles ill take the car toÂ* RRE and have it dyno it there, so that will be the end to all this BS.

And if someone really wants to do a cross-reference dyno thread, just bring a stock evo to various dyno's and do some base runs. Seems like there's enough people anxious about this topic so maybe you guys can all pitch in for the dyno runs.. :)

My reasoning for making all the statements:

Â*When a car I know goes to another dyno and makes some astronomical number on a dyno that I own, you know something isn't correct. Especially to say on pump 91 at 21psi. We all know something isn't right. First off lets get something straight, Javi's 2.3L was very noisey and no on would tune his car but me. SO whoever tuned the car USED and LEFT MY knock filters in his ROM. Which means without my prior tune he may have got turned down for having a loud engine.

While the drama is heavy in this thread, the issue of falsifiying numbers still remains. Â*There have been numerous shops that have utilized techniques to make their dynos read higher and to be honest it isn't fair to the consumer because it leaves them with the impression that they have more then what they really do and it isn't fair to the other business's who put out correct numbers and now they have to explain to customers why their numbers aren't matching up. Â*The issue here isn't simply my dyno reads lower then yours or the other way around, it is "you are intentionally modifying your dyno that is the same as mine to read higher to give the perception of gains that do no exist in the hope that doing so will give me business".
