Transfercase and down pipe problem need help

hi guys, i noticed that my transfercase oil strat leaking because of it is too close to down pipe. It seem like down pipe burn the transfercase so when down pipe getting hot it strat burning tranfercase. Can i get it fix and where i can fix it any recommend or suggestion would be appreciate

-Downpipe hitting the Transfercase or the ACD?

if it burned through you are probably gonna have to get a new t-case or a new t-case cover

pretty sure u didnt fuck it up your t-case. All what you need to do is heatwrap your dp. How in the hell will u burn the acd??!? acd is the system that make your lsd work.

just curious, you meant START not strat right? btw, i think oil is leaking on to the downpipe so you smelling an oil burn when it hot. im pretty sure the Down pipe can't burn the ACD housing nor the transfer case lol.. it's a thick aluminum housing not some piece of plastic that can burn.

actually some guy awhile back had his RMR or RNR downpipe burn THROUGH his housing so yes it is possible......took 3-4 years of rubbing but yes it did get through

that's suck for me then, where can i get just the transfercase cover or do i need to buy a new TC ?

any help? If anyone know who has a TC that bad internal but cover still good i will buy it cause i need just the cover

I read that thread also and it turned out the dealer was BSing him. He had a bad seal that was leaking down onto his downpipe, there was one person that did notice his DP rubbing into his Transfer case but it wasnt even close to going through.

Pull the downpipe off. You can drive the car up on a couple of wheel ramps and reach the DP. If you are a little guy then it will be very easy.

did the eated cookie ever get resolved? My transfer case leaked and i couldn't find the cause, now my case is sitting at SCM waiting on the final warranty judgment

^^^ Check your DP, or T-case cover seal. I had Mitsubishi dealership fixed it for me and it was under Warranty !

did you ever change out your transfer case or clutch? i have never touched mine.
