Ok I am going to change my oils soon and was wondering if anyone has used royal purple in tranny. i have a mix of redline mt90 n mtl in it now, i was thinking of just using 3 qts of mt90 for this one if i did not go with royal purple. as far as the rear diff n tcase i am thinking of going back to diaqueen from redline. I havent used diaqueen in a while get a little paranoid switching but just wanted some opinions. also how many qts do i need to fill tcase and diff.

mt90 for the tranny(2.8 quarts)

heavyweight shockproof for the front/center diff.(almost 1 quart)

75w-90 gear oil for the rear diff(about 1 quart)

this thread is about drivetrain fluid so I would assume gear oil :uglystupid2:

purple for motor is good... i prefer to stick with mobil 1 though...

redline for drivetrain though! And you have an MR, right? go with 2 quarts of MT-90 and 1 quart of MTL. The 6-speeds prefer that...

wait nvm don't MR's have to use a GL-5 fluid instead of a GL-4 fluid?

if thats the case use 75w-90 gear oil in the tranny as well(i'll double check in a sec.)

i heard that evo tranny requird gl-4 but im not sure about evo MR tranny.

That's why you get the 2 quarts mt-90 and 1 quart MTL. It makes it shift real nice even when it's cold!

at one point I remember reading about the Dr. Gray mix coming from Scot at RRE. Before you think about using it though, you should ask them if this is correct information:
