View Full Version : need help removing rear rotors from my IX.......????

i took the brake caliper off and i losened the E-brake but the rotor still wont come off....any input would be great thanks...

You may have to use a rubber hammer and tap it out. Probably ceased up after awhile. Had to do that with my front rotors.

Yup... hammer... and when you put the new ones back on, smear a little bit of anti-sieze on the hubs so it doesn't happen again. It'll also help keep the insides from rustin...

thanks for the input guys...yeah i was taking my rotors off to put apr extended studs on my car took me all damn!! night pretty much..lol i did all four corners took off the hub and every too....it was a bitch some rust on all corners.....i put anti-seize on the hubs and rotors before i mounted them....wont be doin that anytime soon unless someone pays me then its all good :tickedoff: :2funny:

Theres 2 holes with threads in it. i used a 12mm bolt along with some wd40 to make it thread properly and they came out fairly easy. If it takes more than 2 hits from my mallet, thats what i do.

i think you can use the bolts that hold the exhaust manifold shield on.[same thread patterm]
