Eibach Pro Kits and Aftermarket Wheels

Hey guys,

I just wanted to know the experiences with the guys lowered on eibachs and who have changed the rims on their Xs. I am really looking into getting some new wheels but I just want to make sure that I wont have any fender or suspension rubbing. I am probably going to stay with 245/40R18 tires and am considering getting 18x8.5 or 18x9.0 rims.

Can you guys with Eibachs help me out and tell me what offset and size your rims are and give me some suggestions as to sizes that work w/o any modifications when lowered on eibachs?

I had the eibachs on my IX good springs never rubbed and Im running 18x8.5 wheels. I took them off cuz I got Coilovers.

You'll be fine with the Eibachs. We've lowered plenty of Evo X cars with the Eibachs and you can get away without rolling your fenders provided you don't go too wide with your tire choice and not too aggressive with wheel offset and width. YOu can most likely get away with a 265 width tire and a wheel offset of +22. A proper alignment is critical after the spring install to ensure that rubbing is not caused by a bad factory alignment.

im running both 245/40r18 on 18x9 +15 and only my fronts slightly rub when i turn the steering wheel all the way

I ran Pro Kits with 18x9.5 +22 with zero rubbing issues at all. I was running a 265 and even before I got an alignment it never rubbed shit. Thats as wide as I would go for a DD on springs . I think any wider would start rubbing issues..

Seph09 has my old setup and he could tell you how he likes them. He has been on 4 different sets of wheels. I installed them for him over a year ago so I know they have miles on them.
