Reese Tuning Dyno Shootout

I am looking forward to another dyno shootout. When is a good date for most everyone to attend? I would like to see some cars come make some good power. We just bought a new MD500 Legacy (full size) dyno. It was installed today and will be fully operational tomorrow.

So let's pick a date everyone will be able to attend. A date that works for most everyone. I am making this thread so there are no excuses to who shows and doesn't. Last time the winner of the shootout was a car built and tuned her @ Reese Tuning. Car made 599whp 590tq.

The RS has made 639whp since then at 38psi. I will be running my RS in this event. Reason for making this thread is to get all the monsters out here to prove what they have. The prizes will be paid in cash. That will be established once we set a date. I will make a new thread once everyone comes to a conclusion on that.

I will post new pics of the dyno tomorrow. We have been wrenching,moving,cleaning so fourth all day. The dyno is black. What a great machine. I do miss the original MD blue. A classic. I am hoping this dyno provides everyone a great piece of mind like it does me. I love them. They are by far the best quality dyno's on the planet. Be realistic, they read wheel horsepower, not crank power. Regardless of how low my last dyno read. Mustang in general is the industry standard in my eyes.


Let's gets some ideas when should plan the next event. We will take it from there. Once again I am making this thread for everyone to PLAN and MAKE ARRANGEMENTS to attend. So nobody has an EXCUSE why they didn't come.

Let make this one a combined "Power Shootout" and regular "Dyno Day" like in the past....where anyone can jump on the dyno and do 3 pulls so that they can get a print out of what their car is doing without feeling the pressure of the Shootout itself...

Sometime in June would be good James. It would allow others enough time to prepare for the event. You should post something on EvolutionM too get a bunch of guys to come out.

yeah, june or later actually imo...hopefully my $hitbox is up & running!!

I like the idea of doing 3 pulls & get your car off, however, the cost goes towards the pot of a few classes....not sure what...just thinking...it's too hard to police the fuel & engine size.....

maybe just big power @ highest rpm....big tq @ lowest rpm

The new dyno should read very similar to the old one. Not exactly sure since I haven't ran my RS yet. That is first on the list today.
