noise from wheels/front of car

hi peeps,

i got my new X about 3 weeks ago and lately ive been noticing that for example i were parked and put it on reverse and turn my steering wheel all the way to the left or right and start backing up, i would feel feel and hear this rubbing noise from front of car. wifey says the back, i feel it from front. even my steering wheel would shake a little. i had an evo 8 before and this never happened. is this normal from the X?

Update: I took the car to dealer today and it seemed that it was the transfer case. Seems that my 2010 X is some of few with this problem. Weird.. now I'm in a rental.. this sucks.. btw I gt 1200 miles only...

did it sound like clicking noise.. kinda like the tires are rubbing?

Yup, that was one of the issues. im not sure if that was from transfer case but he wrote that down. Ill call them tomorrow to get the details.

hmm, well lmk because I might be driving around with a bad transfer case. O_O

do you get any whitish smelly smoke coming from under the hood or even inside your car when you turn on your ac? well when i got to the dealer i parked the car and did not turn it on. all of a sudden the tech and i saw the smoke and smell. weird! im still waiting from them about the transfer case and if that made my wheels/or what ever it was rub underneath.

Nope.. If I saw smoke from the car I would have had the car towed to SCM.

update: it was some clear/smelly smoke and it happened once i got to scm.
well, i got my car back this sat. and it seemed that it was all from transfer case.. car running good now.
