turbo timer help

Hey guys,

is there anyone who can help me step by step instructions how to install the turbo timer. I am getting the hsk type 1 and i got the harness as well.

But i want to know what i am doing rather than getting stuck in the end.

If you have SSS, the turbo timer will not work as intended.

Thank you so much for the quick reply sir. But thats for a evo 8/9. evo x will there be any other unexpected things to worry about?

sorry about that, you didnt mention anything in the original post and i didnt read the section you posted in lol...idk anything about the x...gl tho

I did man. I cant find for the evo X .. I dont want to get stuck doing the evo 8/9. thinking the evo X's any different.

Yes the X's are most likely different.

I google for hours. Still I can't find much for evo x. Even the bov etc there's less out there!

I have yet to see an evo x with a turbo timer work as it should. Thing is, you have to keep a key in the car for it to work... but you cant lock the car with the key in it...

Also, the evo x has an after-run system which helps to cool the oil i guess, havent researched it that much.

Guess Thts on the 2010 with the keyless one. 2008 model is a nomal key. I got mine. After I do it myself I'll see what happens. I'll post it here.

The guys at the booth said they will work.
Then I read that they won't.

to be honest the hardest part is the RPM cable and the speed cable. everything else is easy

i got a turbo timer with my harness when i first bought my X in 2008... little did i know it doesnt work with the SSS package... lameeee

have you checked evom for any install help? i thought i saw one there

IMO, you should just sit tight after driving for 30 seconds to a minute and let the car run then shut down and off you go on your way.
