Does the SSS have the MMCS unit? If it does you can set it up through the navigation to make it beep when you press the lock button once.

Press the lock button once... lights should flash once... doors are locked.

A French Manual? look further through the manual... if I'm not mistaken there's French, Spanish and English in there

no just 1 language. the front is in english, but the insides were french. abbas replaced it. im guessing a lot of us that bought 2010's were givin the french version of the manual lol.

I believe the process to change the chirp is:

Press and hold the lock button for 4 seconds
while you press the unlock button and hold
then release the lock button
then release the unlock button

I'll see if I can get a good picture of the manual page and put it up here.
