WOW. 6 months of waiting and you couldn't research the right tire combo??
275 tire + 11.5 wheel = Stupid = Ugly
I keep laughing every time I look at the photo from the rear. All I see is rim barrel, and no tire. SAD.
Sellout

Nearly every tire recommendation I've seen on this forum results in tires stretched like that. I don't get it. 275s fit perfectly on a 9.5" rim. They don't magically get wider because you can stretch the sidewall out to make it fit on a rim two inches wider.
275/35 tires and they still look so stretched out.
That's because a wheel that wide should have 295s or 305s. The rear wheels on a Gallardo are 11" wide. The Pirellis they wrap around them are 295/30.

i'm wondering how you would fit those in your evo X... although i have to admit they would look hot on your car.

All I know is that those wheels are just too much for the car to be functional. J had a set of 19x9.5 on his car and I dont care what roll or offset you are running.. they are gonna rub or hit something. Nice wheels just the wrong car..

Those are some nice wheels! I'm not crazy about all that *herra frush* stretched tire with the edge of the wheel barrel exposed look. But many now seem to be, intrestingly.
I think its funny too. In 2004 when I joined and *herra frush* and E85 weren't really around I remember people making fun of "Mexican" Trucks and Cars saying they looked stupid and (insert Latin Racial slur here..). But now that its "JDM", "VIP", and *Hella Flush*.. Well, everyone seems to be all about it and cream their pants over this what use to be considered "Mexican" look.

Why so small of a tire?Â* Â*:idiot2:

because 305's are hella expensive...on my 350z had to run 305/30/19 and those wheels were 19x10.5...but if u r gonna run crazy ass wheel size offsets u gotta run proper tire..u gotta pay to play the game :) nice wheels btw
OP needs to save some more coin then... I would think it's a risk to damage those pretty wheels by running a skinny ass tire :buck2:

it's kinda of weird seeing a 19" on an evo but because of the stepped lip, the brakes fills in the wheels nicely I think

Looks good, but I dont like how stretched they are a 275 on a 11.5inch wheel is ridiculous. My GTO has 10inch wheel with a 275 and even that is a little too stretched for my taste. Im going to put 285s on them when the 275s wear out.

I'm amazed this thread is still up. ^^
It's been quite awhile since I've been riding on this combo and it's been fine for the most part except for a few disconcerting issues:
- slammed; too much body roll (I'll need a Whiteline RCK and some thicker sways)
- rubs a bit more during spirited driving (need a PowerMax fender roller and rear adjustable control arms)
- toe out eats rubber quicker than I anticipated (need wider front fenders and run a tamer camber setup and reduce toe out)
2011 will be a busy and interesting year.Â* I guess it's time to improve the setup and move forward.Â* ^^

You're right.Â* I actually researched the wrong tire.Â* I should have gone 275/30 instead, but this will have to do for now.Â* I give my current set of rubbers about 7k more miles.Â* By the way, looks are subjective so I respect your criticism.Â* Thanks!

Why so small of a tire?Â* Â*:idiot2:
Why so serious?Â* Relax and have some fun.Â* ^^ If you would have said "Why so small of a rubber?" it would have been a lot more fun. Oh well.
All I know is that those wheels are just too much for the car to be functional. J had a set of 19x9.5 on his car and I dont care what roll or offset you are running.. they are gonna rub or hit something. Nice wheels just the wrong car..
I disagree that the Evo X is "just the wrong car":Â* It's a nice 30k+ sports sedan to me rather than a detuned race car under sheep's clothing.Â* It's more tame... it's less geometric... and actually, much more fun.
holy crap that is crazy fitment. That's SBC right?
Correct!Â* It's SBC.
because 305's are hella expensive...on my 350z had to run 305/30/19 and those wheels were 19x10.5...but if u r gonna run crazy ass wheel size offsets u gotta run proper tire..u gotta pay to play the game :) nice wheels btw
Lawl.Â* 305s would fit if I had negative 30 degree camber.Â* If that was the case, I should have bought a DeLorean.Â* The price is not the factor, silly... it's the convex sidewall when stretching tire that'll enable me to run this wheel and stance setup.Â* I play the game nicely already, otherwise I'd be on Rotas.Â* Btw, recommended tire sizes are for conservative offsets to fill the fenders with tire nicely, not for extreme wide track offsets.
it's kinda of weird seeing a 19" on an evo but because of the stepped lip, the brakes fills in the wheels nicely I think
Haha.Â* I guess you are from the Evo 8~9 generation.Â* I completely understand your thoughts on the wheel size. ^^Â* You are very right though... I chose stepped lip to fill those brakes nicely, and those brakes are just fucking monstrous.Â* Evo X +1!
WOW... I think it look sick. kudos for something different.
Thanks.Â* Time to move forward.
Looks good, but I dont like how stretched they are a 275 on a 11.5inch wheel is ridiculous.Â* My GTO has 10inch wheel with a 275 and even that is a little too stretched for my taste. Im going to put 285s on them when the 275s wear out.
The stretch is a matter of taste and I completely understand.Â* As I stated before, a lot of the Evo X guys are running stock 245/40 Yokos onto aftermarket 18x10.5" without any issues.Â* The stretch of 245s onto 10.5" has a width displacement of 10.9mm on the inner and outer rim lip, each.Â* My tire on my wheels have a width displacement of 8.5mm on each lip.Â* Whoopdeedoo~ my tires cover approximately 5mm more ground on each wheel!
I was just like you once... I had Volk GTCs on my g35c back in '04.Â* I ran 285s on 10.5" widths.Â* After those ran out in a year, I slapped on 295s.Â* Then 305s.Â* Then I changed to be different.
