It sounds like a cruise trim issue. Basically while cruising, the ecu puts the fuel trims in to a very lean closed loop. Then when you stomp on it, it takes a sec to go back to the regular trims, but you are already building boost, so the ecu says "hey, hey whats going on here?" and gives you a check engine light because you are running lean. This is the dumb explanation. The smart explanation can be found here:

This is something that can easily be removed with tuning.

Is this car stock or modded but not tuned?

Theres your problem. Sometimes even with a simple air filter upgrade can cause something like this.

Just play it safe and wait till you get a proper tune. RRE or HB Speed should do the trick.

Foo-Foo BOVs are nothing but headaches on Xs with out all the air flow check codes turned off (not to mention they dont make any actual power). The hard super limp mode codes are most likely from the BOV.

An X can be mostly safe with just an exhaust or just an intake usually. But combine the two and you can be running too lean for how much ignition advance you have. The car still runs pretty rich, richer than it would be tuned at. But the ignition advance can be 8 or more degrees higher than it should for that air fuel ratio. All knocky dangerous power you have right now.
