View Full Version : 08 GSR with SSS rockford fosgate system high pitch ringin using AUX

Hey guys, i encountered this problem a couple weeks ago when i was using my Creative Zen hooked to the AUX to my car. There is now a VERY annoying high pitch ringing that scales with the volume of the sound system when using my MP3 player. I think i remember reading there was a TSB for this but i can't seem to find it... if i take it to a dealer will it be warrantable? If not are there any other options i have to get this fixed?

you need a noise filter. Easy fix. go to your local stereo shop takes like 10 min.

what exactly is it? something i plug between the AUX cord and my MP3 player? or something i actually have to install into my car?

It's something you have to install in the back of the stereo system, also depends on if you have amps or anything extra like that.

I use to have the same problem.

I just went to Radio Shack and bought an in-line noise suppressor. One plugs into the RCA port on the dashboard, the other plugs into the player. Problem solved.

BTW - is your Zune plugged into the lighter for power? That was what caused the noise for me.

no its not. i have to charge it every week using my laptop or desktop lol. i still haven't gotten this fixed and now i'm hearing the high pitched ringing on the radio setting too. CD's seem to be unaffected however.
