I was wondering how much the gain is between the RRE sideways exhaust and the RRE exhaust mod? I was trying to find a graph of someone w/ a RRE sideways and someone with the exhaust mod w/ similar mods but didn't have any luck.

What flavor X? (GSR, MR) What transmission? (5 Speed, TC-SST) How do you plan on using the car? (Street, Street and Track, Track only) What is most important to you? (HP, Sound, HP and Sound) What level of Modification do you plan on doing? (Stage 0, Stage 1, Stage 1+, Stage 2, etc)

MR (SST)
Street + Track
HP, sound doesn't really matter because I'm planning to test pipe it
Stage 2

OK! How fast do you want to progress in modifications? (Stage 0,1,1+,2) (Stage 1,1+,2) (Stage 1+,2) (Stage 2)

The only reasons to go with the modded stock exhaust are:

1) You are dirt poor.

2) Your baby's momma wont let you have a loud exhaust or mod your car.

3) Your parents wont let you have a loud exhaust or mod your car.

4) You set a budget and will never do any mods past the modded exhaust, drop in filter and tune.

I has its specific purpose.

If you are already thinking test pipe then that puts you to needing something that flows more than the modded stock exhaust. What would be the point of installing a 3" straight pipe just to have it flow through 2 3/8 " piping and then through a little 2" pipe inside the muffler?

^well that answers it, ill be saving up for the stealth, thanks.
I'm just dying to get tuned, probably why I considered the exhaust mod cause I'd have to save another month or two for the stealth

Start out with a:

Drop in Filter
3 Inch TBE with no cat
Tune

This will give you a nice increase in power for not alot of cash.

that does not address the finicky SST tranny...making power is not an issue, keeping stuff from breaking IS!

I have an electric cutout on my EVO and I love it! Its nice and quiet through the stock exhaust when I want it, and loud when I want to make power!

I have the QTP that I had put on at an exaust place. I got the QTP for a good prive, but I hear that the DMH cutouts are better. My cut out replaced my cat, so I can swap between the 2 come smog time
