So how exactly does this work? Heat and quick cooling kicks in the metal's memory? I have two door dings that I might try this on, but has anyone else tried it?

Never! With my luck I'll try it and the paint will bubble and fall off.

yea i did this a few years ago. then i got paintless dent removal lol.
