Just got my X on new years eve, been thinking of how I am going to do the front plate so I don't have to get hassled by the :police:. Saw the tow hook mounting plate option but that doesn't look like anymore where produced due to them being so expensive. Saw the zip tie method but didn't like how it looked with the front grill.

In short, do you think it will stay on fine with only the 3 small mounting points using 3M? I just REALLY don't want to drill holes in my front bumper when my plates arrive. Let me know what you guys think!

for 3m to really work properly, its better if you have a good amount of surface area...by the looks of that bracket it doesnt look like you have much to work with

Just mount it!! It's not worth the hassle. 3m will need a Larger surface to be mounted securly.

uh.. i went to the hardware store, bought a foot of 3/4" aluminum edge bracketing (90* bent one) and drilled 2 holes on each face.

one to to into my bumper, and one to go onto my plate.

i drilled underneath where the plate is suppose to go but it covers the fog light. if thats an issue than just 3m tape the whole plate to your bumper and call it a day.

3m will not hold the Beatrush bracket in place.

Their comments are all the same. Do you still need my opinion? Hahaha.. I also agree with all of them.
