View Full Version : Wooo! Another TC-SST Problem.

At least 3 times a week my car will give me the "slow down" transmission overheating warning even under normal driving conditions. I also feel it slip a lot.
I've never tracked my car.
I don't think it should be giving me problems already. If its that weak, it should still be in Germany being tested.

Back in September I had a bad leak from the transmission and Ontario Mitsubishi kept my car for almost 2 weeks and they had to have a Tech come out to figure it out. I had a horrible experience with them that's still being disputed. But that's another story.

It almost doesn't seem worth keeping the TC-SST if all its given me is problems. I'm on the verge of getting a used GSR.

I already have an appointment on Saturday at Huntington Beach Mitsubishi to have them take a look at the engine chattering. I guess I'll just add this one to the list.

All of this happening to the transmission especially after reading the Getrag Exposed article makes me even more weary of the this transmission.
The article:

Have you taken it back to the dealership yet?

No, my appointment is this Saturday for the engine chattering. I'll have them look at this too.

If you keep having to take it in for the same problem then you can lemon law the car and get a new one.Â* :)

if your car is bone-stock it should get warrantied, i havent had any issues with my tc-sst, and i was also skeptical of the trans from the beginning

good luck...

WOW~!!!!!

I'm extremely glad I decided to go with the GSR tranny, having tranny problems on a bone stock car is nonsense...

There are stipulations for that though. And if Mitsubishi is that stingy about a warranty issue, find a good lawyer who specializes in lemon cases because you can bet mitsubishi wont take back the whole car if they wont take back a bad part...

Its a business. Of course they aren't going to offer you a new car right off the bat. But if the car keeps having the same problem then its up to you to take the necessary steps to get everything fixed/replaced.

well if they end of having to replace the tranny and there is actually something wrong with the engine or whatever. I'll definitely go for lemon law. I'm having a hard time trusting this transmission.
