in an evo 8? Also, what tools and additional items would I need to buy. I plan on mounting the v1 near the rear-view mirror and running the wires through the pillar. Where do I connect the 2 prongs so that the v1 powers on when I turn on the car? Any additional tips/tricks would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

For the Evo 8 and 9 it is real easy. You can wire through the roof liner to the over head light wiring. Use a multimeter to find the correct wire with IGN voltage and then a ground and you are set. Its simple but stealthy.
