i got some wider, lower offsetting wheels and lowered my car but now it hits sometimes. pulled my fenders but how do i modify or place the bolt holding up the rear bumper so it will stop rubbing my tires.

you need to take the bolt and the plastic clip thats there out and cut/grind the mount hole off and relocate the bolt further back and you should be good

Drill a new hole about 2" back and put a new nut and bolt in place.. The remove the original bolts and any clips. Then grind away the small area that's rubbing.

All done.

Just wondering but how wide of a wheel/tire would cause this rubbing to happen?

um a set of 18x9.5 +20 with 255's did it for me, so had to get the tabs removed and relocated

mine hit on hard bumps or small bmps when there are people in the back. My rims are 30 offset 9", and 255/35R18

good to know how to do this though. I'm gonna have to do it before i get my new rubber... does anyone have any pictures of the process?
