Seems like this wouldn't be impossible.... I don't know anything about wireless protocols, but I bet someone a lot smarter than me could come up with a way to do it with Bluetooth. It'd be pretty cool not to have to deal with the cables when running out for a quick logging session.

Any thoughts?

It's hard to port Bluetooth to make the computer think there is a COM port open.
I saw a few DIY wireless things, but for logging this seems to be the major issue that has web stopping most people

Maybe it's not worth the effort. It'd be pretty cool, though. I'll have to do some more reading.

This system looks interesting, but they're not very forthcoming with the details... http://www.deltaforcetuning.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=DA-9000&Show=ExtInfo

Go on evoscan. They have a app for your android that if Im not mistaken is supposed to come out this month. I believe its set up for logging with a obd protocol as well. Seems pretty nifty if that's what it will do. Don't quote me.

Nice! Android (http://www.evoscan.com/android-evox-can-obdii) and iPhone/iPad (http://www.evoscan.com/iphone-ipad-4-evoscan) coming soon, apparently.

It says evo X so hopefully it will be supported with the VIII and IX.

I missed that...

The iPad/iPhone version doesn't mention anything about being Evo X-specific though. I bet they have a VIII and IX Android version in the works.

Yep Ive been waiting for the app to come out. I am sure we will need to buy new interface hardware that supports bluetooth.

Bluetooth might not carry enough data to make this possible. You can definitely do it with WIFI. There's wireless OBD2 loggers, I actually know the design team that made it, but they won't move without serious sums of money so we'll have to wait for a non-commercial s/w guy to make it happen...
