COBB Tuning is pleased to announce AccessPORT beta-firmware support for the 2011 Mitsubishi EVO X GSR/MR and 2011 Mitsubishi Ralliart vehicles. In addition, COBB Tuning has implemented “Mode 23” ECU communication for improved datalogging speed. All Mitsubishi AP-MIT-002 AccessPORTs can be updated with this beta firmware to support these vehicles and data logging improvements.

2011 EVO X and 2011 Ralliart Beta Support

Internal testing of the AccessPORT for 2011 EVO X and Ralliart has been completed and COBB Tuning is releasing this vehicle support as a beta-firmware release. This beta release is available for early adopters who wish to test and evaluate AccessPORT functionality on their on their 2011 EVO X or Ralliart. Off-The-Shelf calibrations are included in the beta-firmware download and are currently limited to stock intake Stage1 maps for the EVO X and stock intake Stage1 and Stage2 maps for the Ralliart. Once beta testing has been completed, the firmware will be made available for general release and will be accompanied by additional staged maps for multiple brands of intakes.

Improved Data Logging Speeds

COBB Tuning has implemented Mode 23 communications in this firmware release, which improves data logging speed. The higher sampling rate of Mode 23 will increase the resolution of data logs recorded with the AccessPORT. This additional data will provide more information in the data log, making it easier to understand how the engine is performing and allowing tuning changes to be more accurate. This data logging improvement is applicable to all 2008-2011 EVO X and 2009-2011 Ralliart vehicles.

How to Update Firmware

AccessPORT firmware is managed by AccessPORT Manager software, which can be downloaded Support Page. Simply open the AccessPORT Manager application and connect your AccessPORT to your computer via the supplied USB cable. Once AccessPORT Manager sees that the AccessPORT is connected, navigate to the “Options” menu and then select “Check for BETA Firmware”. Then click on the “Updates” menu icon and follow the on-screen prompts. These new features will be installed automatically.
