Evo 9 mr tranny fluid?

I have a Evo 9 mr. I am a bit confused about what type of fluid
Is best. Also I an looking to service the t case an diff
Please let me know your suggesting.

I do my own fluids. There are many opinions, but I use what Road Race recommends :knuppel2:

1. Tranny = BG Syncroshift II Synthetic or Reline MT90
2. Transfer Case = Redline Heavy Weight Shock Proof Gear Oil
3. Rear Differential = Redline 75W90 Gear Oil

Call Road Race to check my notes & buy the fluids from them

Yeah I called RRE an they are out of the tranny fluid.
But will give me a call asoon as it's in.
So that fluid Is ok to use in the 6 speed tranny?

Make sure you check w/ them on whats correct for the MR. I have an RS

Recently Redline came out with MT-85. It is AMAZING with the 6-speeds and just as good as anything else for the 5-speeds. The 6-speeds tend to be a little picky on what fluid they like.

Pretty sure if you called RRE they were going to send you the MT-85 because that is what they are putting in every transmission since it came out.

Oh I will as mt 85. It was a lady that I was talking to so shes the one that took my order.
But it will ask when the call me about the type of fluid see what they are using right now.

We have both the MT-90 and OEM Mitsubishi 6 speed fluid on hand. They are both great!! I use the 6 speed fluid in the RS. I believe it only comes in 5 gallon pails.

The 6 speed tranny does seem to be a bit more picky when it comes to fluids.

We use either Synchroshift, Eneos tranny fluid or OEM MR Tranny fluid.

They are available in the on gallon jug too, but damn MR fluid is expensive. 5 gallons is absolute baller!

Yes! It is a BIG BLACK 5 GALLON PAIL!!! NO SHIT. LOL. I ordered it to have so we can service all the picky people.

LOL at all the orange names going back and fourth. We would use MT-85, MT-90, or OEM. It's all choice and preference and just like the cars some transmissions just work better with certain fluids...

What do u guys think about royal purple for tranny and rear diff? Ive got 120k on the evo. And need to do the fluids. Everyones so far from me. And the best ive found at auto parts store is royal purple.

I have tried AMSOIL and the special LT chevy oil in my 6 speed, both were more notchy than stock. I am curious about the MT-85.
