well i picked her up and found out that my etacs module failed and they have no idea why or how...but the good news it was covered under warranty and the new one is in!

First things first.

2010 PB X (purchased new at south coast in november 2010)
13XXX miles
ONLY MODIFICATION is an hks legamax axle back muffler installed around when i purchased the car

So this started happening a couple days ago when i was leaving from sushi. i turned on my car and i heard a lot of clicking (sounds like its coming from the fuse box and the relays) and then a lot of warning sounds and icons on my dash. then the traction control goes off, engine overheating, service brakes, service the awd system, etc. everything electrical turns off and on like a strobe light.Â* i turn off my car and start it up again and it didnt happen again, so now im like uhhhhÂ* :uglystupid2: well i make it home (about 5 miles from the sushi place) without a hiccup.

yesterday i didnt drive my car at all so i dont know if the problem is still there

and tonight i drive my car to my buddies to help him put a new steering rack in his bmw.Â* on my way down to his house (about 1 mile from my house) it started to happen again. so this time i wanted to get this on video so i can show you guys and SCM, but by the time i get my phone out everything stopped. go figureÂ* :knuppel2:Â* so when im about to leave i get my camera ready just in case and sure enough as soon as i start up my car it happens and heres the video....

new video...had to move my car to get a car out of the garage and first time the evo wouldn't start at all but all the electronics worked? turned off the car and then tried again and heres the attempt...

any thoughts???

Have you taken a look at the fuses ? Or any or of the wires ?

Umm check your battery cable if its loose? LOL
I know when I first click the car into the on position it makes a series of clicks as if I'm about to start it ...
Thats weird though - good luck my man ...

Wow... That's crazy as hell. It's gotta be a relay on the way out. Maybe something in your ignition switch.

Seem like you have a messed up relay somewhere in there. You might want to remove the battery for 5-10 mins, let any current in the car deplete, then hook up the battery to recirc new flow of electricity see if that helps. Otherwise you may need to get fuse/relay box checked.

Could it be alternator related?

^it's a bit odd for an alternator issue... but if it's producing voltage spikes or something like that, it very well could be.

The only thing is, I don't recall ever hearing about a Mitsu alternator going out.

Loose cable, or connection somewhere. I would check the battery myself. Almost acts like a bad ground somewhere.....

I dont think you have anything to worry about. Your car is stock. An axle back wont void your warranty.
Keep us posted. Definitely interested to see what caused this.
