Transmissions, gears and clutches need to deal with torque, not HP.

With a 3 port boost solenoid you can tune the torque to your own personal comfort limit with the parts that you have on the car at the time. For example by limiting boost at lower rpms, you can keep torque to under 400 ft lbs of you like, or 350. But even 350 ft lb at redline is still about 500 hp.

You can have your new internet darling turbo installed and running and save your lunch money for a 5 speed conversion from an internet darling tranny shop :-)

If you are trying to spend all the money at once, then order up a rebuilt 5 speed from Shep or TRE or Jacks.

This daily driver that you are building, stock bottom end? 91 octane pump gas still? Or E-85?

What torque are the cool kids making with this MAP turbo on what fuel and boost?

I have a 6 speed MR transmission with @ 370lb torque/370awhp, daily driven on 91, still running and shifting strong. Not to mention the craziness when E-85 gets put in!

It all depends on how you drive.

+1 to Mike's questions: What kind of torque are you thinking to be at and what fuel. And really for normal person daily driving? or daily driving like it was stolen?

Efr4 should make more than 450 tq.

But +1 on getting a 5 speed if you want I'll swap with you? :)
