If youre still looking for a gig, Im a recruiter for the National Guard. I understand you might want some time away from the military but we do have part-time and full-time positions available in California. As a recruiter, I always receive emails on career fairs and opportunities for veterans so shoot me your email and I'll add you to these lists. Otherwise, thank you for your service to this country and if need help with any VA programs, I'm always available.

Hey Jason, you might want to check out http://www.military.com/veteran-jobs/100k-jobs-mission
I work for JPMorganChase and we have pledged along with other companies to hire 100,000 veterans.
JPMC joined with Syracuse University to offer VETERANS basically an IT crash course and will be recruiting from those who graduate this program as well
http://investor.shareholder.com/jpmorganchase/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=583588
You might also want to check out indeed.com and bestjobs.com
BUT....
I would highly advise you though to use your GI Bill and work part time while you earn your degree.
-This is what I did with the exception of me working full time (which sucked but you have to do what you have to do)
Hope this helps...
