SCE is looking for volunteers

We're looking for some volunteers to help us get SCE running at full boost!

Initially we just want to get more fresh articles up on the front page of the site. We're looking for content/article writers that can work with the admin team to update the site. Ideally this person will love writing and have high involvement on SoCalEvo.net. Someone who is very much in tough with the community.

As we get ready to update the website to vBulletin we will be adding new positions (meet coordinators, mods, writers, etc). Send me a PM if you're interested in helping the community out!

Guys, thanks for the huge response. I'll try to go through the PMs in the next couple days and see what your thoughts are.

Really what we are in real need of is:

- Meets coordinator - this person will work with regional reps to plan both big and small SCE meets
- Regional representatives - each major region should have representative(s) to help organize and speak for the group
- Content writer/blogger/knowing all things SCE person - this person will be in touch with all this SCE and work closely with everyone to help get fresh content for the "front page" of the site

I would also like to see:

- Photographer/Videographer
- Guide - This person will help new members find their way around the club (websites, meets, etc) and help determine what posts should be stickied, etc.


vBulletin will come sooner than later. We have some hardware changes to make then it's a matter of migrating everything. The SCE server is old in its age and it's time to move to our new cloud. More info to come!

All I see is the same handful of idiots spamming threads all over the place. Meets have dwindled, morale is down, I don't even wash my Evo anymore.

I have offered my services. There are rules all over this forum and none are enforced. Noobs try to sell shit in other threads, numerous threads about the same shit and entirely NOT ENOUGH TECH THREADS... Hasnt been a tech thread since trinydex... thats been a minute...

I guess Rob forgot coming to my BBQ before I even had an EVO. I just wanted to get some people together to hang out... This was 6 years ago and it hasnt got much better.

I get back in April and I am gonna look into a mega meet... Ill see what I can do and we will go from there..

I have the perfect spot but for some its a 30 minute drive but well worth it... probably 3000 spot parking lot with tons of restaurants and things local to do. Right off the freeways and easy to get to. Been to a couple of big meets there before and police came through and left.

OK guys. Got everyone's PMs sorted out and have a list. Sorry for the delay. Started a new job recently and it has kept me swamped and travelling.

We have a lot of great interest. I plan to set up an admin meeting for next week to walk through the list and make a decision. Stay tuned!
