so im looking into getting a second car as a DD i want to stop putting miles on my evo.. i was looking into a 2g eclipse. im looking to spend about 2500 so im forsure getting a beater.. i have found some decent 2gs on craigslist and auto trader but what are some of the things i should look out for? test driving and inspecting.. thanks for any advice..

my advice would be to take it to RRE for an inspection before you buy it

The right $2500 DSM is pure bliss. The wrong $2500 DSM is a $10k money pit of misery. Have someone that knows DSMs go over the car thoroughly before you buy it. This isnt something you can learn in a thread.

the 2g's came with a turbo fwd and turbo awd model, but right now, the turbo fwd models are selling for about $2500-$3500, sometimes $4000.
