Ya I noticed it too but only when the cup holder or arm rest is down in the back seat. I'm sure it has something to do with all the crap in the trunk.

Try this...

1. Put some low bass drop music on
2. Crank up the volume slowly until you hear the rattle
3. Pressure down certain area in the back until you can find out which spot its rattling
4. Remove the backseat to verify if it still rattle.
5. Lose up the speakers from trunk and see if the rattle increases or stops (basically if its not touching the frame, it shouldn't rattle)

With or without music the rattle is there
Behind driver side all the way up against the glass is where I need to apply pressure

You can take off the backseat, back panel and speaker screens. Drive around and see if it still rattles.

I used to have the same rattle in my car. Remove the back seat and the rear deck. Get some black stick-on felt from Michael's and put it along the back edge of the rear deck where it meets the rear window. That's where my rattle was.

I had this same issue the night i drove home from the dealership.Â* Mitsu interior built quality is pretty sub par IMO
I had to shove a rag under the panel that was rattling.Â* Pretty damn ghetto but it worked.
Pushed it in through the holes underneath the panel. Here is a pic looking up from inside the trunk.

How big was the rag? And where exactly did you put it just over the sensor?

It was a shop towel.Â* Probably 10in x 10in.Â* if I remember correctly I used 2 or 3 of them and pushed them in just above that sensor with a long screw driver.Â* Hope that helps.

It's a Mitsubishi...shit rattles. Go through the car and tighten every nut bolt and screw you can see or find. Sometimes that helps.
