Sup guys.

I'm trying to install some Takata's on my evo x (just cuz i have them). I bought the eyebolts for them, but i don't understand how to install the eyebolt for one of the lap belts. Most instructions say to use the area where the OEM seat belt latch is but theres a rod, not a bolt there for the stock recaros. How did those of you who installed them install an eyebolt for the lap belts? Any pics would be helpful!

please don't turn this into a dumb "why 4 points are bad" thread. I'm very aware of all the pros and cons, and i'll be using the OEM belts for daily, and the harnesses for auto-x.

Already tried there and no response also. Gonna fabricate a bracket and stick it where that rod is.

No there is no need to fabricate shit for installation of the belts. The 2 across the lap belts bolt up to the stock location lap belts. And if you are talking about the part that goes behind your seat, the only 2 functional locations are to the rear seat ... there are bolts under there or to the rear deck where the Latch is for kids seats... here is a pic....

I saw your post on EvoM Blkside... my problem is that i'm using takatas that have the clip in belts. the lap belt that mounts to where the seat buckle is between the seat and center console, there's no way to mount an eyebolt because it mounts using a rod thats most likely welded to the seat and a nut. Unlike the 8's and 9's where the buckle is mounted using a bolt, which you can remove and install an eyebolt. Gonna go shopping when i get back from a business trip this week and try to find a bracket that can suit my needs lol.

is it safe to mount your harness there? Some hpde event won't let you run unless you have a harness bar.

Harness bars are pieces of shit and will fold Ina serious crash. NO one makes a harness bar that would survive a track style crash. They may survive a rearender but damn sure won't make it thru a 80 mph plow into a wall... I've run extremespeed events and speed ventures events, who are you using that requires a harness bar?
