Reverse not engaging

A couple of days ago my cars reverse stopped engaging. All other gears are fine. Whenever I try to go reverse it pops out. I was thinking replacing the tcase fluid might help. What do you guys think.

Im not a transmission expert by any means. But I can tell you that if you're having issues with gear pop out then you won't fix it by changing the fluid in your transfer case. That is a problem inside of the transmission.

i ended up replacing everything in the trans

Who did the tranny work & what was the problem?

I was getting this problem because transmission oil wasn't changed for a long time, While driving it was making a noise and struggling to go forward and reverse. Then I changed the transmission oil its working in fine condition now.
