Hey All, wanted to get ur opinions... What size wheel is best for the Evo X, 18in or 19in and why? Some 19's look perfect, some too big and I don't know if one is better performance wise... Looking forward to your answers. Thanks!

normally, bigger rim= added weights to your rotational mass= loss of power, numbing steering response, and poor brake performance.

bigger rims= bigger tires= same as above so multiply the loss x2.

now, if you're able to keep the weight down, then i see no downside. problem is, how much money do you have to burn?

It all depends if u r going for looks or performance.
I won't lie, some 19" volk wheels on the X look amazing!!
As i personally rather stay with the 18" category due to tire selection and performance behind it.

These wheels look so sick to me but they are 19x10.5+20something, which is bigger and wider than I wanna go but they look so amazing... Do these and/or volks fit under the light enough to go 19" category? In other words they won't take away from performance?

You can do whatever you want... if you add rotational mass, you can simply modify your car to have more power and alter your suspension and fenders to make up for that increase in weight and size. Some porsche race cars use 19's...

however the only reason why i didn't wanna go with 19's is due to the restricted choices in tire sizes. You have far more selection of tires in 18's than 19's.

Depending on the size, some are too big and will have some hard time clearing the front inner ...

If you get 19s you probably want to go with at least 8.5 width wheel. You will want at least 245/35/19 tires. This way your speedometer stays pretty accurate.

19s just seem oversize to me. 18s with fat tires look good imo :)

Most people said it... 19's is for someone going for Looks over Performance.... 19's looks SEXY AS HELL on the X. However, for the price of tires being that 19s are a random size... 18's is more convenient and better for performance than a 19 inch rim.
