Rough Idling.

After smogging my X I noticed it started rough idling. It randomly happens after the engine is warm. It'll go from 900 back to 600 and close to the 0 mark. Only mods the X has is an AEM CAI and RS Sport catback exhaust.Â* I looked at the evox and evolutionm for similar issues.Â* I thought I found a possible solution; it involved taking off the engine cover and securing the fuel pressure regulator pressure line. The previous owner did it already so I'm back to square one. I have some pictures of the engine bay maybe someone will notice something not in all the way. Thank you for the help in advanced.

Get it to an EVO specialist. Lots are on here. So Cal EVO just hates new people so they make it difficult to find the trusted EVO specialist shops. There is only so much the peanut gallery can do for you over the internets. Depending on where you live... RRE, Massimo, KTM, TT

Pretty sure all would give you 20 minutes in the driveway for no charge. Could be something silly or could be something serious. I know we'll be here @ RRE till at least 10pm tonight. You may even be tuned and not know it if you bought the car used.

I'm in huntington beach. Just trying to keep the car well maintained. Especially since anyone will say what they want about a car to get it sold. Other than that someone did recommend me your shop.

You might try a really in-depth description of your new ride and pics of it, someone might recognize it and know what has been done to it.

RRE would be the closest. We'll be at the shop 11am to 10pm Tuesday-Friday this coming week. Stop by for a look. 20 minutes in the driveway with the hood up or a test drive is always free. In quick time we can narrow things down quite a bit.
