did anyone that has installed these notice more of the vibrating noise by the shifter? i just installed mine and did notice they did have a little more play than the stock rubber bushings but other than that the shifting did feel a little smoother. its just that now it is more audible and not just in 5th gear on the freeway

Just installed mine today aswell. I put grease around the bushings. I don't think I've heard any new rattles even with ams solid front motor mount.

Let me know how the gate selector bushing works out for you.

No problem. And I forgot to ask did your bushings fit snug tight or ws there any play?

The horizontal bushing was snug with the oem washer included. The vertical had 1mm play. I might end up adding a washer but there have been no side effects with out it.

thanks for the info. i put th washer in and the noise did go down abit. i guess im going to have to adjust the vertical bushing while i install the 5speed gate selector. ill keep you updated on that. hope that also takes some noise away by making it stiffer.

ok i finaly got a chance to put on the ams 5 speed gate selector bushing and to me this made the most difference in shifting. it feels better than the first day i got my evo lol

Nice. I honestly didn't feel much of difference with the shifter bushings. I think the solid front motor mount helped the most with shift quality. But the shift gate bushing will be next. Thanks for the info.

i forgot exactly what they do but from what i remember it makes your shifts feel more precise and have a more quality feel to it.
