Stuff happens. Depending on how the length of the end link was adjusted it could have gotten bound up and helped the bracket break. Replace it and if it breaks again you can reinforce it. Or reinforce the new one.

anyway to reinforce it? weld an extra piece on it? make it thicker?

Build some triangulation into it. But first make sure it isnt binding or bottoming on anything.
