I was mostly wondering what RRE uses when they do changes cause I've been debating amsoil or redline I know redline recommends for turbo motors 20w-50 I'm currently using RP and have had no issues but I want something with a higher amount of zinc

Ben the VR-1 you are talking about is none synthetic correct?
Yeah, Valvoline discontinued their synthetic version for whatever reason lol same crap either way, i've gone and back forth and had no issue with either :) 20w-50 is a bit too thick for a newer motor with tighter clearances, so i'd go with the 10w-30 or 10w-40.........

See that's what I thought that would be to thick my guy who owns a viii was telling me that's the weight he runs but I was thinking of the redline 10-30 I pretty much baby the motor so I just want to take care of it the best possible way hell that's what I've done for my f250 and it's over 500000 miles lol

No way in hell that you have 500k miles on a 6.0 LOL let me guess, 7.3? Me and Mr.MP have high mileage "track" cars :) He has around 80k on the stock motor and I have 136k on the stock motor as well. We both have 20+ track days on the motors also.

We use redline 15w50 for all our evo's with no issues. We generally like sticking to heavier weight oils, i personally run 20w50 valvoline vr1 in my 2g.

Hey Gus,Â* Do you see any problems sticking with Mobil 1 5W-30 on a stock car (meaning my X)?

As long as it is synthetic your good. Royal Purple is now the best. Mobil is not as good as it use to be. If your car is still under warantee. Save the receipts. You wil need it if there is any problems. Dont forget a filter. O0

Yes. We actually use 15/50 but some of the saved quick jobs might still come up as 20/50 in the invoice program.
