If it goes away when u press the clutch pedal in, then its your throw out bearing...typically a normal sound. If it gets worse and affects your shifting, then you mine as well replace your whole clutch to save labor costs.

^Yeah... but it's kinda retarded to pull everything apart JUST to put the old clutch back on. That would be like putting a new waterpump on and NOT putting a new timing belt while you are in there.

A puck clutch on anything but a dedicated drag car is no beuno. You might need a new flywheel already depending on how hard you've been driving it.

This.

Get a kit that utilizes a full face disc. Better driveability, longevity, and less abusive to the rest of the powertrain. I'd recommend this one, so long as you plan to keep torque <450lbft:

That kit is also available with an non-dampened hub if you're interested.

If you end up needing a flywheel http://www.heeltoeauto.com/aasco-aluminum-flywheel-evolution-7-8-9-105415-11.html
Really high quality stuff. Look em up on google if you haven't heard of em. They don't mess around.

I driving an ACT HD with lightweight Flywheel. I make noise then disengage improperly. You may need to revisit your pedal use. What about change the TOB for ACT monolock?? If you do it by your own, maybe not too back to replace just the TOB #diylife #evolife #mechanicsfromordinarypeople #youaregonnaneedtoolsandpatience

did you ever incur lockout issues right after putting it in? it's hard for me to shift into reverse. also...I really gotta ride it in 1st when I'm taking off from a stop. these things normal or should I be worried about a bad install?

Idk I just hate it. i was so used to my ACT don't ask which one it was because when i changed it there was no
marks to indicate what clutch it was. i feel like my comp stage 2 clutch is already starting to slip.
