So i just blew my block up yesterday. It was weird but heard its common, anyways missed shifted from 2-3 and ever since then my clutch felt weird and kept crusing took it easy, later on that day went from 4-5 and after a couple seconds BAM smoke comes out and heard medal hitting, pulled over right away and there was a huge oil leak in the street not proud of it lol, but got the car towed and checked and there are two big holes in front of my block i would say 3 inch in diameter other one bigger :? but yah im gnna maybe sell the car or fix the block, my whole point was what do you guys think i should do if i keep it? i wanted to go to 2.2 + if i built the block, and was wondering how much i was looking around to do all that, and wanted to ask where would be a good place to do the job for a good buck other than TT, wanted to try other shops, but was also wondering if anyone had a block for sale a built one already or someone who can do it for me, i have the cash, also do u think i mest up the head??
sorrry for all these questions ,......

you're better of doing a full build.. head to block.. prevents further issues.. you're looking at like 6-7k total..

well i am going to get my head checked, i already had my head built thats why it prolly blew the block cuhz my block was stock, i hope nothings wrong with it, if the head is fine what would the block be around???

I would just drop in a used long block. They usually go for 2500-3000. Sell the head if it checks out fine, to recoup some costs.

I have ran well over 500 hp on stock block for a long time with no issues. I would be curious to see the rods that came out if you have them.

yes 507hp, 440 try i believe, and i have a couple of pictures of the block but not the actual rods, i will put them up shortly, AND yes i have been running my block with this hp for a year now but i believe after a while it would go out since the block was stock no?

I am assuming this was on e85? When you say miss-shift are you saying you did a mechanical over-rev or you just tried to go from 2nd to 3rd and you got gear lockout?

I wish to know why always 2nd cylinder is the one to prone to be the cause of a blown engine. if someone know, please let me to understand. any way to avoid beside a conservative tune?
